Layout from stern to bow :
Steering. Under the steering position there is a large semi circular comfortable lounge area (access from the dining room) with many cupboards and original vintage woodwork.
From the steering position, the main entrance , five steps to the airy dining area with large windows overlooking the river. There is an opening to galley which is located five steps downward this allows the person cooking to have a conversation with the guests whilst preparing a meal. Aft there is a large semi-circular saloon which is quite unique in the original woodwork. It used to be the captains cabin when she was a working barge (until 1942) and used to cross the Isselmeer (NL).
This little cabin is very cosy and welcoming. Well heated in winter and cool in summer.
Behind the galley the captain’s bedroom with many cupboards - the bathroom which has a full sized bath, toilet and washbasin – Behind the bathroom there is another double cabin which has its own exit to the deck (ideal for guests returning late .
She has travelled all over France, she is beautiful to pilot. Her location in Central Paris is unique. She is moored near Pont de la Concorde, beside Place de la Concorde with a view over the Quai d’Orsay Museum , the Houses of Parliament and the Eiffel Tower . There are two parking spaces for cars which is a bonus in Paris as parking is impossible.
The neighbours are very interesting, and all the boats moored in the centre (There are 47 in all) of Paris create a very pleasant village atmosphere.
A mixture of unusual friends, writers, lawyers, architects, designers - mostly very unusual people.
She has been rented for the past 3 years and is in need of someone to love and take care of her.
